It is not unusual to feel unhappy, anxious or depressed for a short period of time. In fact, it can be normal to feel this way for an extended period of time. Unplanned life events can throw our lives into immediate chaos, or events from the past can catch up with us and negatively impact our wellbeing and health in the present. Life changing events or unwanted feelings, thoughts or bodily sensations can compromise our ability to cope with day to day activities. Our mental health can be challenged to the extreme and this can result in anxiety, depression, isolation and even despair.

Talking to a qualified psychotherapist is not the same as talking to friends and/or family. Well meaning people who are close to us, can oftentimes assume knowing what is “best.” This can have the undesired effect of an individual feeling unheard, misunderstood and even judged.

This approach facilitates the client in developing awareness and insight into what prevents integration between their internal world and their outer relational expressions.

How I Work

I will help to facilitate and support you in a safe, non-judgemental, confidential and compassionate environment; whatever you decide to bring to counselling it will be at your pace.

I aim to build a working relationship with you, enabling you to feel comfortable to explore and understand your experiences, thoughts, emotions and how they can be connected to events in the past or the present. Through this exploration, we can work towards positive change. It may be that you’re uncertain of what needs to change or where to begin and that’s okay too.

Procedures For Working

INITIAL ASSESMENT

I believe that it requires a lot of courage to take the first steps into counselling. How many sessions will I need? The number of sessions that you may require depends on the nature of what you are experiencing and what you bring to counselling. This is collaboratively agreed in the first session and reviewed at regular intervals.

FIRST SESSION

In our first meeting, I will explain how the counselling process works and develop a working agreement that will inform us both on how we will work together, as well as discussing your expectations of counselling and your goals. There is no obligation to continue counselling after our first meeting.

I maintain confidentiality regarding my work with you, however, there are a few expectations and they will be discussed in our initial meeting.

1). Self Esteem

Self-esteem is what we think of ourselves but also how we feel and behave.

It had significant impact on our life if you have impaired self-esteem and you are not able to manage adversity and life’s disappointments. Feel insecure, compare ourselves to others and doubt and criticise ourselves.

Some of you struggle all your lives with impaired self-esteem even resulting depression.

Our Therapy can help you to change how we think, act and what we believe and as a result we will help you to raise self-esteem.

2). Anxiety

Experiencing occasional anxiety is normal but if you have intense, excessive and persistent worry and fear about your everyday situation and future than you need professional help Sometimes you may feel increased heart rate, sweating. trembling, If you feel you are worrying too much and it’s interfering your work, relationship and other parts of life.

Your worries may not go away on their own and they may get worse over time if you don’t seek help.

We can provide you counselling and therapies to make your life smooth.

We all deal stress at some point in our lives. Not all stress has negative impact in our life.

Stress is our body’s reaction to pressure from a certain situation or events. If you think you just can’t manage it and signs may be panic attacks, worrying all the time, feeling you are under constant pressure.

Then it’s good idea for you to ask for professional help from us.

3). Depression

Being happy is not the same as being depressed. if you are going through these symptoms as having a hopeless outlook on your life worthlessness, self-hate, loss of interest in activities, lack of energy, lack of sleep and low appetite. If you have had some of these symptoms for more than two weeks, than we are here to provide the right help.

We will listen to you without judging you.

We can help you explore your feelings, acknowledge them and accept them.

We can also support you to find your own ways to cope with what you are going through – and suggest different strategies and self-care techniques.

4). ADHD

It is normal for children to have trouble on focusing. But in ADHD child might have Daydream a lot, forget or lose things a lot, fidget, talk too much.

We can help you in treatment planning and training.

5). Autism

In Autism child has constant problems in social communication and interaction, repetitive, restricted behaviour activities and interest and these symptoms cause major impairment in social, educational or other important areas of functioning.

We can help you in treatment planning and training for children and their parents.

6). Addiction Counselling

Addiction is not just a physical dependence on alcohol. Drugs, mobile, internet, gaming gambling etc.it is mental dependence too.

In Addiction counselling we address underlying causes of addiction in an individual and trained them with strategies and mechanisms for avoiding relapse.

In Teenage counselling we give a space to share their thoughts and feelings so that they can benefit in navigating Their life challenges.

Career counsellor gives you guidance according to your aptitude, attitude and personality for suitable stream selection and career selection.

We also help to inculcate problem solving skills, decision making, listening skills and skill development

Aging includes life changes and transition like retirement, loss of loved one, loneliness.

Reversing letter, words or numbers, Difficulty in reading and writing, difficulty in numbers or math and following instructions.

Children with learning disability may feel frustrated and don’t want to go to school.
